Reader Privacy
A plain-language record of what the novel website collects and why.
Anonymous site analytics
We use a self-hosted Umami service to understand which pages and chapters are visited and which site features readers use. The site is configured to honor Do Not Track.
Analytics are used to improve the reading experience. They are not used to build advertising profiles or sell reader data.
Chapter comments
Comments are provided through a self-hosted Remark42 service. Comments you publish are public. Email addresses used for one-time sign-in links and reply notifications are not shown publicly.
Comments may be moderated or removed to protect readers, prevent spam, and keep discussion appropriate.
Discussion expectations are explained in the Reader Policy.
New-chapter alerts
Readers may voluntarily provide an email address to receive new-chapter alerts through Buttondown. Subscription emails include an unsubscribe option.
Signing in to comment does not subscribe a reader to chapter announcements; these are separate choices.
Optional reader accounts
Readers may create a self-hosted Xander Cyber Lab account to synchronize reading progress, Civic Link story state, and future chapter access between devices. Saved bookmarks remain on the reader’s current device.
ZITADEL processes authentication, verified email, recovery, passwords, and passkeys. The separate Reader service stores reading progress and story state. Passwords and passkeys are not stored in the novel website.
Readers may request an export or deletion from the Reader Account page. Registration is optional; free public chapters remain readable without signing in.
